Editorial Policy

Last updated: 3 November 2026. This Editorial Policy explains how BikePick researches and writes its guides, and how we handle mistakes.

How our guides are researched

Every guide on bikepick.motorcycles is written by Shaheen, the writer behind BikePick, and is based on manufacturer specifications, published road tests, owner feedback and, where relevant, prices listed by dealers and sellers at the time of writing. We compare bikes on the things that matter when you buy: budget, experience level, how you will use the bike, running costs and practical issues such as seat height, weight and servicing. We do not invent riding experience, road tests or ownership stories that did not happen. Where we have not ridden a bike ourselves, we say so, and we rely on the sources named in the guide.

What we do not do

We do not publish fabricated experience, made-up prices or invented quotes. We do not copy other writers’ work. We do not accept payment to write a favourable review, and we do not let advertisers change our conclusions. If we are given a bike or product to try, we will say so in the guide. At launch, BikePick carries no affiliate links; if that changes, our Disclosure page will be updated first.

Accuracy and corrections

Motorcycle prices and specifications change quickly, so we check the key facts in every guide before publication and review older guides regularly. Mistakes still happen, and when they do, we correct them. If you spot an error in a BikePick guide, please write to Shaheen at shaheenop@gmail.com, with a link to the guide and the correct information. We will check it, correct the guide, and, where the correction matters to a buying decision, note that the guide has been updated.
